Le prince Harry et Meghan Markle dévoilent de magnifiques photos du baptême de leur fils

On craque! Presque deux mois après qu’on ait découvert la petite binette du bébé royal Archie, ses parents, Meghan Markle et le prince Harry, nous dévoilent d’adorables photos de son baptême.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor semble avoir eu droit à une splendide cérémonie samedi matin, entouré de sa famille, au château de Windsor. Deux mois jour pour jour après sa naissance, le petit garçon a en effet été baptisé dans une chapelle privée de la demeure par l'archevêque de Cantorbéry, Monseigneur Justin Welby.

Sur Instagram, le duc et la duchesse de Sussex ont tenu à partager quelques souvenirs de l’événement avec la population mondiale. On peut d’ailleurs voir le petit Archie arborer la réplique faite à la main de la robe de baptême royale en dentelle et en satin que portent les bébés royaux depuis 11 ans. L’habit original a été commandé par la reine Victoria en 1841!

This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment. Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie. Their son, Archie, was baptised wearing the handmade replica of the royal christening gown which has been worn by royal infants for the last 11 years. The original Royal Christening Robe, made of fine Honiton lace lined with white satin, was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and first worn by her eldest daughter. It was subsequently worn for generations of Royal christenings, including The Queen, her children and her grandchildren until 2004, when The Queen commissioned this handmade replica, in order for the fragile historic outfit to be preserved, and for the tradition to continue. On peut remarquer un important élément manquant à la première photo : la Reine Elisabeth II, habituellement toujours aux côtés du couple royal lors d’événements de la sorte. N’ayez crainte, ce n’est pas dû à une chicane. La Reine avait seulement un autre engagement de la plus haute importance cette journée-là.
