Il s’agit du troisième enfant du couple formé de l’animatrice et de son mari, le peintre André Monet! Les amoureux ont craqué pour le nom Phoenix pour leur nouvelle petite boule d’amour:

« We named him Phoenix for the Ancient Greek mythological bird. The news of his coming was at first so exciting and then so sad when my mom died suddenly and I knew she would never know him. We were looking for names at a time when my heart was shattered.
We looked for something that worked in English, French and Greek. Then I thought about the mythological Phoenix, the bird that rises from the ashes into new life. Reborn.
Our little Phoenix gave our family new life. He lives for himself, for his parents, for our parents. And as an added surprise, he came on February 26th- the anniversary of my father’s death. A day once so sad, now so full of life. So full of joy, so full of love. So full of Phoenix.

On avait appris la grossesse de l’animatrice sur le tapis rouge de Casse-Noisette, en décembre dernier à la Place des arts. La belle était alors enceinte de six mois déjà!
