Le monde rend hommage au défunt Karl Lagerfeld

Quelques heures seulement après l’annonce du décès du grand couturier Karl Lagerfeld, une vague d’hommages déferle sur les réseaux sociaux. Si plusieurs reconnaissent au premier regard son look iconique, rappelons qu’il est connu principalement pour son travail des 36 dernières années à titre de directeur artistique de la maison de haute couture Chanel.

Au cours des dernières semaines, des ennuis de santé l’avaient empêché de se présenter pour remercier le public après la présentation de la collection Printemps – Été 2019. Le créateur s’est éteint au cours de la nuit dernière à l’âge de 85 ans.

Karl was my magic dust, he transformed me from a shy German girl into a supermodel. He taught me about fashion, style and survival in the fashion business. What Warhol was to art, he was to fashion; he is irreplaceable. He is the only person who could make black and white colourful! I will be eternally grateful to him.
