Notre belle Canadienne Evangeline Lilly s’est vue offrir un rôle en or par nul autre que Peter Jackson et elle jouera le rôle de Tauriel (Woodland Elf) dans le film très très attendu The Hobbit! Sweet, ça devrait la mettre sur la mappe côté cinéma!!

If there were, we’re sure that KateEvangeline Lilly will find them. She has just been cast by PeterJackson for a role in the film!
She’ll be playing Tauriel, the Woodland Elf, according to Jackson:
Evangeline Lilly will be playing a new character—the Woodland Elf, Tauriel. Her name means ‘daughter of Mirkwood’ and, beyond that, we must leave you guessing! (No, there is no romantic connection to Legolas.) What is not a secret is how talented and compelling an actress Evangeline is; we are thrilled and excited she will be the one to bring our first true Sylvan Elf to life.
Evangeline and Barry, along with Welsh actor Luke Evans as Bard and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug, just about rounds out the major casting. I cannot wait to get stuck into these new scenes!

She dated Dominic Monaghan while they were on Lost at one point. He played one of the hobbits, Merry, from the original LOTR Trilogy. Hmm!
