Official poster for #BoyErased. Watch the trailer on BoyErasedmovie.com | So proud to have been a part of this adventure. For me, it has been an incredible opportunity to make friends and learn more about acting, but more than anything, learn how to overcome feelings of guilt and self-loathing. We all live with a certain amount of shame, don’t we, and at times the shame seems determined to take control of our agency. I’ve kept myself from doing things, saying things, filming things thinking : what will people think? Or say? Boy Erased has opened my heart and mind on that. One of the producers told me she “wanted to start a conversation” by making this film. I really hope it happens. I really, really do (said with Kate Winslet’s inflexion in Revolutionary Road). Thank you, Boy Erased, and all the good people and artists behind it. Together, one story at a time, we can eradicate shame, and educate the narrow-minded! 🏳️‍🌈
